Chicago and Reno

I would have to say this has been a busy few weeks and I have done more traveling than I have done in years just this month. We went to Chicago for the Fab Tech show. It was really pretty there. We got to see several sights and get in a little shopping. We enjoyed a lot of great food and time with friends. When we got back we had Morgan and Kennedy for four days. We were able to go see Snow White, the City Lights Christmas Parade and enjoy playing at the house and riding Ginger. Kennedy would not let PaPaw out of her sight. We had a alot of fun with them and I think they enjoyed their time here too.

We left and went to Kim and Scott's and stayed a couple of days before heading off to Reno. We enjoyed seeing them and getting to be with Cooper. He is such a sweet little guy and about to take off walking. We left Monday morning for Reno and flew into the airport with snow all over the ground. It was very cold there the whole time. We were not able to get the planes into the convention center due to the weather but did set up the booth on Monday. Tuesday they did get the newest plane in for everyone to see. We were pretty much worn out each night and got up at 4:00 a.m. to fly home on Thursday.

It was nice to be able to travel and see different places but it sure is nice to be back home.

Building Pig Pens, ACU Game & Trapping Bears??

Almost all of the kids were here for a busy weekend. Friday night after dinner, Jordan and Donald got started on building the pig pens. Saturday morning they got up to work some more. Of course Morgan was ready to go outside and take Lacey out. Kennedy wanted to ride in the jeep but was just a little short in the britches so Aunt Ashley had to try and help her out although she was a little big in the britches for the jeep. Needless to say, they made it down to the barn after all. We all got ready for the ACU vs Midwestern game. It was beautiful weather outside. Kennedy had fun feeding everyone cotton candy and Morgan met up with some friends to play with at the game. It was a sad loss for ACU of 13 to 15 but they still made it to the playoffs and will play Midwestern again next Saturday. So best of luck to ACU on Saturday. Jason got to ride back to Olney with Whitney and spend the night at the house but had to leave to go back to Abilene Sunday morning. After church and lunch that day, Jordan and Donald headed back to finish up the pens. We all played outside all afternoon. Morgan was patiently waiting to ride Ginger. In the meantime she was playing like she was on her horse and trapping bears or shooting them at North Creek. We built a horse trailer out of a box and Kennedy rode in it behind the jeep. We all rode the ranger around, played with the horses and Lacey and just enjoyed the beautiful weather outside. Kennedy loved running free in the field and swinging. Finally Morgan got to ride and did very well. She then helped to lead Kennedy around on Ginger. Kennedy was not sure about riding at first but after she got going she was laughing and enjoying it. She alwasy wants to stay outside. She kept saying PaPaw side, side and would say no and kick her legs when you tried to take her out of the swing.Kennedy is a little PaPaw's girl for sure. Morgan and I ran to the grocery store to grap some sandwich stuff. They have little kid carts there so Morgan got one and did the shopping. She was so cute pushing the little cart. Sure wish I had had my camera with me. I think she was a little concerned with what I was wearing tothe grocery store. I will have to remember next time if we are taking pictures to dress a little better, but at home, I usually wear my comfy clothes and do not care what I look like. I told her it would be ok if I went that way. After dinner they loaded up everything, panels and all and everyone headed back to Abilene.

It was a fun and busy weekend but we had a great time.
