When Grand Kids Come to Visit... It's the Greatest Thing

When your grandkids come to visit it is one of the greatest things.  Kim came down for a couple of days while Scott was away on a business trip.  She got called in to work so she had to cut her stay short but we had a good time while she and the kiddos were here.   Cooper and Reese keep Kim pretty busy so I think she enjoyed some of the help we could give her and we enjoyed trying to keep up with Cooper and then getting some bonding time with little Reese. LEIGHTON'S FIRST VISIT TO GANA AND PAPAW'S...WITHOUT MOM AND DAD!

Ashley and Jordan and another couple used our travel trailer last  weekend for a weekend of camping and relaxation and guess what?  We got to keep Leighton for the first time.  We had so much fun with her and she did fine and we did fine too.  I hope her mom and dad did as well.  She entertained us pretty much all the time.  She enjoyed playing with the little doll house, swimming, swinging, reading and of course eating.  Below are a few pictures from the weekend.

 Asleep on the way to Perrin.  Tired baby girl, but I hear she got all rested and was hyper on the trip home.

 Finally back with her daddy and mommy when we went to pick up the trailer.  We had a great time and thanks for letting us keep her.  See, that wasn't so bad after all now was it?  I told you I would take good care of her and I didn't send her home with any bad habits. (This time, ha ha!)

Thanks again girls for your time with us and letting us spend time with those little ones.  I have said it over and over again that they are a pure joy to us and we enjoy every minute we get with them and you big kids too.  Love you all forever and always.

Sweet Kennedy Turns Four

Kennedy turned four years old and it is so hard to believe that four years have already past since the day she came into this world.  She had an adorable party at the pool with a very cute fish cake, nutty butter flip flop cookies and colored gold fish. Kennedy even had her own "fish" swimsuit... can you imagine her matching too?????  Here are a few pictures from her party.

We had a great time at the party and Kennedy enjoyed every minute of it.  She is such a delight to us and we love her with all our heart.  Happy 4th birthday Kennedy!! XOXO

It was a great weekend and fun celebrating Kennedy and everyone being together.  Thanks everyone for the good times.

Mother's Day and Father's Day 2012

As usual, I am so far behind on my blogging that I barely remember what all happened on these days but thank goodness I have pictures to tell the story.  I do remember that Reese had just been born and I had spent a week there helping Kimberly out and arrived home just in time for Jordan and Ashley to be here to install a sprinkler system in the yard.  So, we had that going on all that weekend and the following weekend was Mother's Day so I would have to say I was not totally prepared and a little worn out even though I usually never admit or carry on that I might be tired. Ha!  Here are a few pictures of the sprinkler system going in (which has been sooooo wonderful this summer).  I wonder now why we waited so long to do this.  Also pictures of some great moms with their wonderful family.  I am so proud of all of them and the great job that they are doing.  May I say that I could not have asked for any more wonderful children than I have and my, my those grandchildren are the light of my life.  I cannot express how much I love them and miss them each day.
