Goodies for the "Kids" & Help on Curtain

I need your opinion about the curtain. I do not have it hung completely because I did not have a second rod so it is just kind of up there and I also had to use the old tie backs for right now until I can get some better tie back tassels. I like the valance but am not sure about the heavy panels. I am used to more light. I will leave it hanging for a few days and see if it grows on me. I would like your feedback or suggestions on it.

Also I did a little "kid" shopping. For Ashley, I have thread and needles. Doesn't that sound exciting. You know why I bought that. For Baby Wiemers, I have a couple of little onesies and some booties. I have not found anything just really, really cute yet but just had to buy a "boy" thing. I will have to wait till fall things come out due to his due date. For Miss Morgan, its comfy clothes and a little hat.

I finished the cushions for the rocker. I believe I am finished with all my projects now. I think I will just enjoy the arrival of my new grandbaby next week. Here are pictures of the things I bought and more house pictures. I really like the new paint job. It was a "whole lot of work" but I think it was worth it.

Sorry Jason and Scott. I am almost sure I took a picture of you all riding too. Well the last ones are of the kids all leaving to go home. "Thanks for the memories". It was fun. The next time everyone is home we will have a new little addition to our family. Then the next time after that, we will have another new little addition to our family. This family is beginning to blossom! Can't wait!!!!! Boy, we have a great family!

Morgan's Concert and Fantastic Weekend

We had a fantastic weekend for Mother's Day. All three girls and their Hubbies and Morgan came in for the weekend. We had a great time. We all just relaxed and wore our "comfy" clothes as Morgan would say. We started Friday night off with a concert by "Miss Morgan Johns". Saturday morning we had pancakes and sausage and just enjoyed sitting outside and visiting. The weather was beautiful this weekend so we all took advantage of that. Morgan loved riding her jeep around. Saturday afternoon Donald had his famous fish fry. Later the guys played horseshoes. Whitney, Kimberly and Ashley had a belly contest. Looks like Whit won that one. Sunday we all went to church and then had hamburgers at the house. Mondie,
Dale, Shelbi, Chad and Peyton joined us along with MaMaw and Great Granny. Morgan had been begging to ride Blaze all weekend. Dale got him out and rode him for a while and then Donald rode. Morgan was begging to get on. She rode and rode and loved it. Next each of the guys, Jordan, Jason and Scott took their turns on Blaze. Scott and Morgan bathed Blaze and turned him loose. The guys continued their horseshoe game. Can you believe the crew was hungry again before they left? Donald cooked some pork sausage on the grill and I fixed some macaroni and cheese for them. Everyone really seemed to enjoy each other and that was a nice sight to see. Donald said, boy he was worn out. Needless to say everyone loaded up and went their own way. We were worn out after they all left but it was a "GREAT" weekend. Thank you all for making the effort to come home for "Mother's Day". I appreciate it so much and enjoyed you all so much.

Oh That Sweet Little Morgan!

I had been trying to call Whit since last night. Read where she had a bad headache and tried calling again today and left messages each time. I started to worry but she finally called me back on her dad's cell phone as we were heading home from church tonight. Donald told her I would call her back when we got to the house. I called and Morgan answered the phone..."hello, are you feeling better? Well yes I am Morgan. "I prayed for you Ganna". Well thank you Morgan, I bet that is why I got well then. Now how sweet was that? Whit told me they would say a pray and then Morgan said we have to pray again so I can pray that Ganna gets well. That little Morgan is such a little grown up. Thank you Morgan for praying for me. I love you and am sorry I had to miss you hunting Easter Eggs.

Easter Weekend (Good and Bad)

Donald and I traveled to Abilene Saturday afternoon. We stopped at Whitney and Jasons house and Morgan ran out to greet us with Lacey dog. She was going 90 to nothing. We visited for a bit then went to eat. We went home and just enjoyed visiting and I gave Whitney and Morgan a pedicure. Whitney claims she can't reach her toes anymore. Jason and I read Morgan a few stories and she dropped off to sleep. Did not take PaPaw long to crash after that. Jason put in grades and Whit and I watched two episodes of Dateline together and felt and watched little Kennedy kicking and tumbling up a storm. Finally we turned in for the night.

Sunday we got up and went to church. Ok, my stomach was feeling a little funny but I thought it will go away in a little while. During church they showed a slide of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and said to get your children close and tell them the story. Whit had Morgan in her lap and Jason leaned over and told her the story. She was so tuned into what he had to say and took it all in. As I watched, I had chills run up and down my body just seeing how great a father Jason is to Morgan. It touched me so to see him tell her the story and teach her about Jesus Christ. Jason bought her a Bible story book for Fathers and Daughters and they share a story each night. Now how great is that? I am so thankful for the father that he is to Morgan. (Morgan, one word of advice to you when you grow up...and please remember this...When you look for the man of your life, look for one that has the same qualities as your dad and you will be just fine.) Jason, just want you to know how proud we are of you for the job that you are doing as a father and husband. We could not be more proud of you!!!!

Now for the bad side of the weekend...I ended up sick and had to leave out of church and we had to miss Morgan hunting Easter eggs. But with that, we still had a great time just visiting with Jason, Whitney and Morgan. Ashley and Jordan, we had planned to stay until you all got home so we could see you all but I figured I did not need to be there to expose anyone if I could help it. Glad you all had a great time. I know Morgan enjoyed babysitting Lacey.
