Update on K.C. (3 days old)

Morgan, if it is ok with you, lets name him K.C. I think that will be cute after Kennedy and Cooper. He and Ginger are both doing well. I took several new pictures today and got a few better ones than the first day. He is such a cute little guy. Some of the pictures above are K.C. getting his dinner, one he is nibbling on my finger and then he is trying to eat a piece of hay but he has no teeth. I was able to pet him some today. Once he kind of tried to buck a little bit. It was funny. Morgan, I got that nasty stall cleaned out and new shavings put in for them. I saved the other stall for you since you were wanting to clean it out. Ha! We still have to get that garden planted too.

Surprise, Surprise...But..I Told You So

Two days ago, I told Donald I thought Ginger might be pregnant because she was bagging up and her stomach was really big. He said no way. I told him we should pen her up anyways just to be on the safe side. But of course, he did not listen to me. Well, I go home for lunch today and there stands a baby colt. The little thing was over by the other horses and Ginger was off by herself because Star and Blaze had been running her off. I thought, well maybe it was Ida's cause she was like taking care of it. Poor Ginger was all wet and sweating. It is so cute. It is a little dunn with a star and a snip. It seems really gentle.

I called Donald and told him to get home as fast as he could. I headed to the barn and called the horses. The three came and Ginger went to her baby and stayed at the end of the pasture. I fed them all and Donald got there and tied them all up. We walked down and caught Ginger and brought her and the baby to the lot and penned them up. She was a little frightened but I told her she was all safe now.

This is the craziest thing I have ever heard of. Donald said, this is all I need is a Shetland baby pony. He said it was Glenna's horse farm. I called Morgan and told her that her horse had a baby. She had asked me this fall when Ginger was going to have her baby and I told her she just has a fat tummy. Guess she was right after all. Morgan is a little disapointed that the little thing is a little guy instead of a little girl. We seem to always get boys when it comes to horses.

I am back at work, all sweaty and smell like a horse. Oh well, maybe no one will come in. This is the most exciting lunch hour I have had in a while. Cooper and Kennedy, I guess this one will belong to you two. Can't wait for everyone to be able to see him. I will try and get some better pictures of his little face and his blue eyes later today. I just took these real fast so I could get a post made before I came back.

Weekend Visit With the Wiemers

We made our monthly visit to see Scott, Kim and little Cooper this weekend. Wish we had been off for springbreak and could have gone to Great Wolfe with them all, but maybe we can sometime this summer. By the time we arrived Friday, Cooper was already asleep. He has really livened up a lot and just smiles all the time. We went to town to look for a few clothes for him at Babies r Us. There are tons of little girl clothes and not much out there (without some silly something) on it for little boys. Not much luck this time. Donald and Scott went to Cabelas and Kim, Cooper and I went to SteinMart. Cooper was so good all day and never cried once.
I got a really good picture of Cooper and PaPaw before church this morning. We enjoyed the weekend and getting to play with Cooper. I think he is starting to know us a little bit now. (Maybe that is just a Gana's way of thinking), but that is ok. Guess we will see you all Easter.

I Have A New Part-Time Job...Ha

Last Friday I went to Abilene to help Ashley out as a photography assistant. Ashley and I had dinner out and went to the mall for just a bit. We had so much fun together just the two of us. We were both talking and laughing just as hard and fast as we could. Saturday morning when we got up, we watched some tv then started getting ready to go to Albany so Ashley could do the photography work at a wedding. She had asked me when she booked the date to come and be her assistant. I was in charge of keeping up with the equipment, checking off the pictures taken from her list, seeing that everyone was lined up, seeing that the wedding dress was spread out in the pictures and trying to corral everyone for the pictures. I had a blast doing it and think Ashley did a very good job on the pictures. Who knows, that may be the last time she ask me to do this, but if so, I really did enjoy the day and enjoyed the time I spent with Ashley.

The picture above was before we left for the wedding. We were trying to take the picture of ourselves. My camera has such a delay that Ash would hit the button and then we would pose for the picture. We got tickled doing it and got a good laugh out of it.

Thanks for letting me help you and keeping me overnight. I really enjoyed our one on one time together. We just need that every now and then and I think this is the first time since you got married. (Nothing against you Jordan, guess that got you off the hook so you could go varmit hunting). Ha!

Morgan's First Concert

Donald, Morgan and I went to the Trace Adkins concert in Wichita Falls. It was awesome. Craig Morgan opened the concert and he was really good. Then Trace Adkins came on stage. The picture of Morgan shows her face when the music began. We all really enjoyed it. We took Morgan back to Abilene Sunday and met Ashley and Jordan, Whitney, Jason and Kennedy for lunch and spent a little time with them. We got to see Kennedy crawl for our first time. Won't be long Kennedy and Cooper before you two will be hitting the concerts with us. I told Donald I was going from now on when someone came to Wichita that I liked. That is about my favorite thing that I like to do. Can you believe it? We have tickets to see George Strait and Reba McEntire in June. I am so excited. It will be AWESOME.

Happy Valentines My Love

I found this cute, cute picture frame at Hobby Lobby the other night. I have to get a picture of Donald and me in a 4X6 to fit it. Most of the time I always do pictures of the kids and grandkids. This one is for you Donald. Happy Valentines Day! We have been together for 34 years this July. Whoo, that is a long time, but I still love you.

Kimberly & Cooper Make Visit to Olney

Kimberly and Cooper came to see us Monday afternoon and stayed till Thursday morning. We enjoyed getting to see them and playing with Cooper. Hope Kim was not too bored during the day since we were all at work. MaMaw came down to visit and kept Cooper while his mommy cleaned her car all up. Think she enjoyed the break, so thanks MaMaw. While he was here, Kim started him on some rice. He did pretty good with it. I probably built up some muscles in my arms after lifting and carrying him around. Ha! Cooper seems to take a liking to his PaPaw. He enjoyed seeing the horses it looks like as much as they enjoyed getting some attention. Thanks Kim for making the trip. We enjoyed your visit but it is always a little hard for a few days after you leave. Can you believe I have not even touched my house? It still looks like it did when you left and I don't even want to clean it up now either. Guess I will have Saturday to get it done.
